We appreciate the co-development and co-sponsorship of 26 Council Members of our initial draft Strategic Plan and the contributions of all Working Group members to the draft text. The Strategic Plan identifies the vision and strategic directions which IMO will focus on for the next 6-year period from 2024 to 2029. Our Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) officer, Darrick Leow, currently First Secretary (Maritime) at the Singapore High Commission in London, has been appointed Chair of the Working Group on the Strategic Plan of the IMO at the 129ᵗʰ Council session.
